Minesweeper "Polyarny" of Project 12700 Received Vacuum Life Support Systems from "YAMYA-Engineering"

The systems provide effective treatment of wastewater and food waste on the ship of the "Alexandrite" project

The company "YAMYA-Engineering" has completed the delivery of vacuum life support systems for the sea minesweeper "Polyarny" of Project 12700 "Alexandrite". These systems provide effective treatment of wastewater and food waste, and maintain sanitary conditions on board.

According to the Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant, which is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), the launching ceremony of "Polyarny" took place on April 24, 2025. The new ship became the tenth in the series and was named in honor of the city of military glory — Polyarny.

Minesweepers of Project 12700 belong to the new generation of mine-countermeasure forces of the Russian Navy. The ships are designed to search for and destroy naval mines, have high maneuverability, and the hulls made of monolithic fiberglass provide a small magnetic field, which significantly increases survivability and efficiency in performing mine countermeasures tasks. "Alexandrites" will become the basis of mine defense forces for many years.
