More than 70 Ka-52 "Alligator", about 80 Mi-28NM "Night Hunter": the number of combat helicopters in the Russian military named

We are talking about the used rotorcraft of all types, excluding reserves

The Russian army has many combat helicopters of all types, both assault and attack or reconnaissance. The publication "Tekhnosfera Rossiya", citing Western sources, named the approximate number of aircraft that are airworthy.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia has not confirmed the information, so the data may be underestimated. The source refers specifically to the machines in use; according to foreign information, aircraft under repair or any reserves are not included here.

The Navy (Navy) has about 10 combat Mi-24s, about 10 multi-purpose Mi-8s, 26 amphibious Ka-29s, about 10 light Ka-226Ts, about 90 anti-submarine and search and rescue Ka-27s, 2 Mi-8s and 2 Ka-31Rs — electronic reconnaissance and long-range detection vehicles.

In the units of the Aerospace Forces of Russia (VKS RF), according to Western sources, the following helicopters are in combat-ready condition — about 70 Ka-52 attack helicopters and about 30 Ka-52Ms, about 170 Mi-24 combat helicopters of various versions, about 80 Mi-28 attack helicopters, about 20 Mi-8MTPR0s, about 280 multi-purpose Mi-8 transport and landing helicopters, 33 heavy transport Mi-26s and 19 training Ka-226Ts and "about 20" Ansat-U training helicopters.

The Border Troops of the FSB of Russia, according to Western authors, use "more than 200" Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-26 and Ka-27 helicopters, without specific breakdown by numbers

In the air fleet of the Rosgvardiya, foreign compilers counted at least 80 helicopters. This number includes: about 70 Mi-8 transport and landing helicopters, 10 heavy transport Mi-26s and single light Ka-226Ts.

Also, foreign authors single out machines that are located at foreign Russian bases — 2 Mi-8s in Kyrgyzstan, 8 Mi-24s and 8 Mi-8s in Armenia, about 10 Mi-8s and Mi-24s in Transnistria, 4 Mi-24s and 6 Mi-8s in Tajikistan and 12 Mi-24s and 4 Mi-8s in Syria.

If you combine all the published figures, then the total number of helicopters is about 1200 machines of all types.

Earlier www1.ru reported that carriers of "Caliber" and "Onyx" frigates "Admiral Gorshkov" and "Admiral Kasatonov" went to the Barents Sea.
