In 2025, two Project 12700 Alexandrite minesweepers will be laid down at the Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant (SNSZ, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation). This was announced to journalists by Vladimir Seredokho, General Director of SNSZ.
According to him, the company plans to launch another mine defense ship in August.
And there will be two more закладки of two new ships in May and in July. Therefore, we have three more major events here at the plant in the Alexandrite series.
The Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant of USC is currently building five Project 12700 Alexandrite mine defense ships. Two ships of the series will join the Russian Navy in 2025.
The construction of the ships involves the latest technologies that have no analogues in world shipbuilding. The ships have the world's largest hull made of monolithic fiberglass, formed by vacuum infusion.
The weight of such a hull is significantly lower compared to a metal one, while its strength is significantly increased. The hull is not subject to corrosion, and the service life is not limited if operating standards are observed.
Earlier www1.ru reported that "Yakovlev" showed the full video of the first flight of the fully import-substituted SJ-100.
