«Timan» and «Tepsey» tugboats built at Oka Shipyard

Vessels of project NE025 are designed to move non-self-propelled floating crafts

«Timan» and «Tepsey» tugboats (project NE025) were built at Oka Shipyard. On April 24, the state flag was raised on the vessels. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

«Timan» and «Tepsey» open a series that is being built by order of the Marine Rescue Service. The construction is being carried out as part of the implementation of the infrastructure development plan for the Northern Sea Route for the period up to 2035.

The vessels are designed for towing non-self-propelled floating crafts, installation and signs of coastal navigation equipment, lifting anchors, and transporting cargo. The tugboats ensure the operation of the dredging fleet, deploy oil spill response equipment (OSR), and provide assistance in extinguishing fires.

Main characteristics of project NE025 vessels: length — 29 m, width — 10 m, board height — 4.2 m, draft — 3.2 m, main engine power — 2 × 746 kW.
