A naval strike group of the Northern Fleet entered the Barents Sea to conduct a series of exercises with live firing. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The frigates "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov" and "Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov" of Project 22350 will operate at sea as part of the group for several days. The crews will practice joint maneuvering elements and conduct a series of training sessions.

The armament of the frigates of the project includes anti-ship missiles "Caliber" or "Onyx", the "Poliment-Redut" anti-aircraft missile system, the "Paket-NK" anti-submarine torpedo complex, and an artillery installation. A Ka-27 helicopter can be based on board the ships.
