More than 16 billion rubles to be invested in UAZ, the manufacturer of the legendary "Bukhanka"

The Sollers Group plans to invest over 16 billion rubles in the modernization of UAZ production by 2026. This was announced by CEO Nikolai Sobolev.

Among the planned activities is the launch of a new press line for the production of new UAZ models, bodies for SUVs and pickups. A major modernization of the painting complex is also planned for this year, including an upgrade of the cataphoretic line.

By the summer of 2025, the company will begin production of highly localized safety system components, from steering wheels using local materials to airbags and seat belts with electronic control units. These steps are aimed at significantly improving the quality of UAZ vehicles.
