The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) has handed over a batch of new Su-34 bombers to the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was reported by the organization.
Combat aircraft have passed a full cycle of factory tests, have been tested in various operating modes and have flown to the airfield of deployment.
UAC General Director Vadim Badeha stressed that the corporation's enterprises strictly fulfill their obligations under the state defense order.
Our aircraft show their advantages in real combat conditions. Of course, we are proud of this. The production of one of the most popular aircraft, the Su-34 front-line bomber, has more than doubled in two years.
First Deputy General Director of the State Corporation Vladimir Artyakov recalled that the Su-34 — the main strike force of the Russian front-line aviation.
The combat drake is the best aircraft in its class. Today, it solves the most important tasks in the special military operation zone and demonstrates high efficiency, excellent combat and maneuverable qualities. The aircraft is in demand in the troops, and our aircraft factories are increasing the production rate of this machine.
The Su-34 fighter-bomber is designed to engage air and ground targets, infrastructure facilities, covered by air defense systems and located at considerable distances from the airfield of deployment.
The aircraft can operate under information and fire counteraction of the enemy day and night in simple and complex meteorological conditions, in any geographical theater of operations. The Su-34 uses guided and unguided aviation weapons.
