The crab boat "Kildin" of the KSP01 project was successfully launched at the Krasnoye Sormovo plant.
The KSP01 project vessel is planned to be operated in the North Atlantic, including the Barents, Norwegian and Greenland Seas. It is designed for crab fishing at depths from 20 to 400 meters and the production of frozen products directly at sea.
One of the key features of the vessel is its autonomous navigation, which is 50 days. This is achieved thanks to a spacious freezer hold with a volume of 1082 cubic meters.
The length of the crab boat is 61.9 m, the width is 15 m. The vessel retains operability with sea waves up to 5 points, which is critical for Arctic latitudes.
The vessel became the second in a series of five crab boats developed by the enterprise commissioned by the "North-Western Fisheries Consortium". The crab boat is planned to be handed over to the customer in the fall.
