Lada Iskra cars in various colors, including "Platinum", "Coriander", and a color that the insider also calls "Black Panther", have been spotted at AvtoVAZ. These pre-production cars already meet all the technological requirements for this model.
The official production launch is scheduled for April 19. The cars are located at the VAZ Engineering Center site at checkpoint 17 to avoid misunderstandings and prevent erroneous reports of an early start to mass production.
The Lada Iskra lineup will include a sedan, a station wagon, and a cross-station wagon. Mass production will start on April 19, the birthday of the iconic "Kopeyka". Initially, the model will be offered exclusively with a 1.6-liter Granta engine, with a capacity of 90 or 106 hp. The base version of the engine is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, and the more powerful version is equipped with a Chinese six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.
