Digital control of dentists: SamSMU has developed a module for monitoring the quality of medical care

Software with a virtual assistant is used in 40 clinics

Specialists from the Samara State Medical University (SamSMU) have developed a specialized module of a digital platform for monitoring the quality of medical care, focused on dental clinics.

The Digital Quality Management System (DQMS) is a software with a virtual assistant (chatbot) designed for heads of medical organizations and specialists in the quality and safety of medical activities. The platform was developed at the end of 2024 jointly with the IT company "High Technologies".

Currently, the development of a specialized module for organizations providing dental care has been fully completed. After the platform was implemented in more than 40 dental clinics, the level of staff involvement in quality assurance processes increased by an average of 50%. The number of identified adverse events has increased significantly, and all of them have been investigated, which directly affected the improvement of the quality and safety of care.

In the first half of 2025, it is planned to create modules on the basis of the DQMS for other areas as well — cosmetology and ophthalmological clinics, and then for multidisciplinary medical institutions.
