Unique workshops where only robots will work to be created in the Chelyabinsk region

Russia's first production sites without human involvement will be built on the basis of the "Robot Plant"

Construction of Russia's first "dark" workshops, where no human labor will be involved, will begin in the Chelyabinsk region. This became known during the visit of First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov.

The official got acquainted with projects based on the Center for Industrial Robotics of the South Ural State University and the "Robot Plant", created at the Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant.

It is planned to implement projects on the territory of the "Yuzhnouralskaya" special economic zone, which will exclusively use Russian robots, unmanned transport and domestic IT solutions. Manturov instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Education and Science to support both existing and new initiatives in the field of robotics in the region.

The Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant, one of the leading in the country, produces parts for the automotive and tractor industries, as well as for railway engineering and the oil and gas sector. The "Robot Plant" became the first in Russia to specialize in the serial production of industrial robot manipulators.
