Su-34 strike fighter shows aerobatics: unique footage

The "barrel roll" element helps the crew evade anti-aircraft missiles

Pilots of the front-line aviation of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia showed in a video what their Su-34 fighter-bombers are capable of.

The footage from the cockpit shows intense maneuvering, performing aerobatics and complex maneuvers - in particular, several barrel rolls.

At the same time, there is nothing surprising in such agility of the Su-34 - the bomber is made on the basis of the Su-27 heavy fighter with high maneuverability characteristics. The ability to perform complex and aerobatics has repeatedly saved crews from anti-aircraft missiles.

Su-34 (NATO classification - Fullback) - a two-seat all-weather front-line bomber. It is designed to deliver missile and bomb strikes against ground targets and engage enemy air targets.

The aircraft is made according to the normal aerodynamic configuration with forward horizontal tail, twin-keel vertical tail, mid-wing trapezoidal wing, tricycle retractable landing gear and two AL-31F engines in the tail section of the fuselage.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia has completed the construction of the latest automated missile launch control center.
