A state-of-the-art modular electronic warfare (EW) system called "Rubin" has been developed for the Russian military. The first 120 sets have already been handed over to the soldiers, and the developer has received positive feedback.
"Rubin" is designed for assault units; the system is capable of changing frequencies in twenty minutes.
The complete set with a powerful battery weighs 11 kg together with the backpack, where soldiers can also put everything they need; the battery life is 90 minutes.
First of all, our achievement is a portable EW device for assault troops, which is not only effective, but also flexible; we can change frequencies in twenty minutes. Because the enemy changes frequencies very often; during the day, they can fly in one corridor, and then go to another, and we make it possible to respond to this quickly.
