Insiders have questioned the words of the head of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, that the level of localization of Lada Niva Legend reaches 99.8%. According to them, the real figure is only 35%.
They refer to the methodology of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In it, the maximum score for localization is 8800. For Lada Niva Legend, 8782 points are required to achieve 100% localization. According to insiders, the model received only 3130 points, which casts doubt on statements about the high level of localization.
Since last summer, Lada Niva has not even reached half of the required level.
AVTOVAZ has not yet commented on this information. It is likely that the company will somehow respond to these statements in the near future.
