Russia Plans to Launch Production of Weapons, Aircraft, and UAVs in Partnership with Latin America

The implementation of the intended goals will be discussed at the upcoming LAAD 2025 exhibition in Rio de Janeiro

Russia plans to actively develop cooperation projects with Latin America in the joint development and production of small arms, drones, aircraft, and high-precision weapons. This was reported by Rosoboronexport.

The implementation of new projects is planned to be discussed with representatives of Latin American countries at the upcoming LAAD 2025 exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, which will be held from April 1 to 4 this year.

Today, the main global trend in the field of weapons and military equipment production is "strategic autonomy" through the development of the national defense industry, thanks to which, by 2030, the share of technology transfer projects in the global arms market will increase by 95% and reach 40% of the total volume. In Latin America, we plan to develop projects for the joint development and production of small arms, UAVs, high-precision weapons, armored vehicles, aircraft, and naval equipment.
Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport

In particular, a Kalashnikov assault rifle production plant is actively being built in Venezuela. Alan Lushnikov, General Director of the Kalashnikov concern, emphasized that the company is doing everything necessary for the successful implementation of this project, which indicates a growing interest in Russian defense technologies in Latin America.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia found a foreign partner for the development of UAVs.
