Supersonic missile-carrying bombers Tu-22M3 made scheduled flights in the Amur aviation unit. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
To carry out the flight shift, crews were involved in piloting and navigation, which included both experienced pilots and navigators, as well as young flight personnel.
The pilots practiced piloting techniques to ensure training when performing flights during daylight and at night.
The engineering and technical staff worked out elements of preparing aviation equipment for flights in conditions characteristic of a sharply continental climate, that is, under the influence of high atmospheric pressure and air humidity.
The armament of missile carriers includes the «Kinzhal» hypersonic complex, a twin-barreled GSh-23L 23 mm caliber cannon, free-fall aerial bombs or sea mines of various types. The missiles are located in the fuselage compartment and on pylons under the fixed part of the wing.
