Military personnel of the 231st Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus used Soviet self-propelled 2S5 "Hyacinth-S" guns and towed 2A65 "Msta-B" howitzers in exercises. The maneuvers took place at the 227th combined arms training ground "Borisovsky", the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported.
The artillerymen hit targets with high-explosive fragmentation projectiles from 152-mm towed 2A65 "Msta-B" howitzers at a range of up to 9 km. Military personnel also used the high-precision Krasnopol projectile at a range of more than 14 km.
A control exercise on special training with a battery of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) took place at the training ground. The missilemen destroyed targets at a distance of up to 16 km. Military personnel used drones for targeting and adjusting fire.
