Drivers in Moscow and the Moscow region are advised to change their winter tires to summer tires after March 25, as stable above-freezing temperatures are expected in the region from March 26.
Anatoly Tsygankov, Head of the Crisis Management Department of Roshydromet, noted that starting from March 26, the temperature in the capital region will be above zero both during the day and at night, which makes it safe to switch to summer tires. He also emphasized that the established slightly cloudy and warm weather is associated with high atmospheric pressure.
Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, clarified that the automotive winter in Moscow and the region will end on March 25. According to his forecasts, the average daily temperature will reach +5°C, which traditionally happens only on April 8, but this year spring is coming two weeks earlier.
