The beaten carries the unbeat: "flying" gas turbine T-80BVM dragged an American MRAP MaxxPro along

Uralvagonzavod: the tank carried an armored vehicle weighing 14 tons like a toy

The modernized T-80BVM tank took an American MRAP MaxxPro armored personnel carrier in tow on the line of combat contact. This was reported by Uralvagonzavod (UVZ).

The tank, modernized at Omsktransmash (part of the UVZ concern), dragged a 14-ton armored vehicle behind it like a toy. The powerful 1250-horsepower gas turbine engine allows you to drag not one such monster, but several at once, UVZ noted.

T-80BVM is a further modernization of the T-80BV tank. The vehicle is equipped with a Sosna-U multi-channel gunner sight, a more advanced 125-millimeter 2A46M-4 gun, a modified gas turbine engine, and Relikt dynamic protection. For his ability to make incredible jumps from a springboard, the "eightieth" was called a flying tank.

Technical characteristics of T-80BVM:

  • Tank weight — 46 tons
  • Maximum speed on the highway — 70 km/h, on a dirt road — 45 km/h
  • Depth of overcoming a water obstacle with appropriate equipment — 5 m
