The BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle has become a true symbol of the power and technology of the Russian defense industry. Since its development, BMP-3 has established itself as one of the most versatile and effective combat platforms in the world, Rosoboronexport said.
The BMP-3 carries powerful weapons — a 100-mm gun, a 30-mm automatic cannon and machine guns, providing superiority over the enemy. Thanks to high mobility, the combat vehicle is capable of overcoming any obstacles, including water obstacles.
Improved armor and an active protection system increase survivability in combat. The versatility of the BMP-3 ensures its use for a wide range of tasks — from infantry support to combating armored vehicles.
Thanks to robotization, the vehicle can be controlled by the crew or remotely — from a remote control, as well as automatically — according to a given algorithm.
The additional protection kit, created based on the results of use in combat operations, includes armored and lattice screens, a set of protection for the upper hemisphere, the so-called anti-drone "barbecue grill", capable of withstanding attacks from kamikaze drones.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Ka-52 attack helicopter was the first to hit a long-range kamikaze drone converted from a light aircraft.
