The multifunctional emergency rescue vessel «Rescuer Karev» (project MPSV07) helped to unground the bulk carrier «Meghna Princess» in the Gulf of Finland, the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) press service said.
There were more than 30.3 thousand tons of cargo on board the bulk carrier, which was sailing under the flag of Bangladesh. The Marine Rescue Service said that no oil spills were detected in the area of the emergency rescue operation.
About the vessel «Rescuer Karev»
«Rescuer Karev» was built in 2013 at the Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant of USC. The vessel has an unlimited navigation area and an enhanced ice class. It has been repeatedly used for ice escorting.
