Crews of Su-24M tactical frontline bombers and Su-30SM2 fighters of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation practiced interaction and tactics for striking "enemy" ships.
During the exercises, combat aircraft performed tasks aimed at improving the tactics of using aviation weapons, practiced interaction in the sky and coordination of decisions when performing tasks in difficult meteorological conditions.
In total, about 10 crews of Su-24M and Su-30SM2 were involved in the combat training event.
Su-30SM2 is a modernized fighter with improved optoelectronic sighting and navigation system and radar control system with increased air target detection range.
Su-24 is a tactical frontline bomber with a variable sweep wing, designed for delivering missile and bomb strikes in all weather conditions.
