Specialists from the United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) have carried out routine maintenance on the first domestically produced high-power GTD-110M turbine. The unit has been operating as part of the Udaraya thermal power plant (TPP) in the Kuban region since autumn last year.
In total, the power plant has operated for over 4,000 equivalent hours, including more than 2,000 hours in full commercial operation. The maintenance results confirmed the reliability of all GTD-110M systems.
The GTD-110M is the first high-power turbine fully developed and manufactured in Russia. It is always a bit nerve-wracking when such an ambitious project, the result of the work of hundreds of scientists and engineers, moves into the stage of real implementation and commercial operation.
Since its launch in 2024, the Udaraya TPP has provided the Krasnodar Territory with over 3.3 billion kWh of electricity. The total installed capacity of the power plant is 560 MW. Today, it is the most technically advanced combined cycle thermal power plant in Russia.
