Плату-концентратор данных для коллайдера NICA разрабатывают в ТПУ

Development is scheduled to be completed in 2028

Tomsk State University (TSU) is working on creating a data concentrator board for the Russian NICA hadron collider. This was reported by the university's press service.

The board is designed to collect and transmit information that will ensure the processing of big data in experiments.

Currently, a large number of scientific groups are working on creating equipment for NICA, as it is a major international project. In this chain, we are responsible for developing a board that will be one of the links in the chain of transmitting information from the point of particle collision to data processing servers.
Vladislav Borshch, employee of the Data Analysis Laboratory of High Energy Physics at TSU, head of the electronics development group

The development of the board and software is scheduled to be completed by 2028. In the same year, the launch of experiments at NICA will begin.

The NICA hadron collider (Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility) is located in Dubna (on the territory of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research JINR). It is designed to study the properties of matter under extreme conditions, such as the temperature and pressure that existed in the first moments after the Big Bang.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Putin explained the potential of the collider near Moscow.
