Russian equipment has an advantage over Western equipment, since it was originally designed for harsh geographical climatic conditions – winters, slush and heavy clay soil. This was stated by retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk.
Western equipment, especially the latest, Abrams and Challenger, is expeditionary equipment that is designed for urbanized areas where there is asphalt, where there are improved roads, for sandy roads in Africa, possibly in Asia. That is, once they got to us, they began to experience huge difficulties.
The analyst noted that lubricants play an important role in the operability of equipment.
All lubricants that are used by the Russian army are lubricants that have certain additives, for example, some thicken only at a temperature of minus 70 degrees. The West does not have such lubricants.
