Avideo has gone viral on the Web showing a Russian soldier launching an unguided air-to-surface missile (NAR) S-80 from a homemade hand-held launcher.
The footage shows the soldier aiming and firing, but the strong recoil casts doubt on the accuracy of aimed fire in this way.
It is known from open sources that the S-8ОФП belongs to the S-8 NAR family with a caliber of 80 millimeters, which are used by combat helicopters and Su-25 attack aircraft. The missile received a high-explosive fragmentation warhead of a penetrating type.
Advanced two-mode contact fuse, which allows the ammunition to explode with a delay or immediately. The missile developer is NPO Splav (part of Rostec).
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rosoboronexport's order portfolio exceeded $60 billion.
