According to him, the new weapon is intended to replace the AKS-74U assault rifle in the wearable emergency stock (NAZ).

PPK-20 has successfully passed a cycle of tests on the possibility of its placement in the NAZ of pilots. The submachine gun has the corresponding letter of serial production and is supplied under a state contract. That is, this is already an established type of weapon that can be adapted for placement in the NAZ.

PPK-20 was developed on the basis of the well-established Vityaz-SN submachine gun. It can fire in single and automatic modes using a quick-detachable device for flameless and low-noise firing.

The machine gun is equipped with a telescopic stock made of impact-resistant polymer that folds to the right side of the receiver.
