Middle Eastern countries have shown great interest in the new anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) "Pantsir-SMD-E" at the international exhibition IDEX-2025 in Abu Dhabi (UAE). This was announced by a representative of the holding "High-Precision Complexes" (part of Rostec).
According to him, this modification is now the most in demand, and not for conducting military operations, but for ensuring the protection of particularly important facilities.
These tasks are always relevant for any country, especially in the Middle East. For example, if we take the Gulf countries with developed infrastructure, then such protection of facilities is important for them.
The modification of the Pantsir-SMD-E SAM system is designed to protect areas from massive air strikes. The complex is equipped with mini-missiles for destroying drones and does not have cannon armament, unlike the Pantsir-S1.
According to the manufacturer, the system is designed to defend military, administrative and industrial facilities and areas from massive air strikes. One installation of the complex can carry either 12 standard anti-aircraft guided missiles, or 48 short-range intercept missiles for eliminating drones.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec showed all domestic engines for promising helicopters and airplanes.
