State Duma proposes enhanced security for "Gosuslugi": Access restoration only through MFC

To combat fraud, it is proposed to confirm identity when restoring an account

The State Duma has proposed enhanced security for restoring access to the "Gosuslugi" portal. A corresponding letter has been sent to the Minister of Digital Development, Maksut Shadaev.

The appeal proposes introducing a mandatory visit to the MFC to confirm the identity of users. This is due to the increasing number of frauds and the concentration of personal data on the Gosuslugi platform.

The authors of the initiative believe that the requirement of personal presence in state bodies when restoring access will help prevent the use of information technology to falsify data and reduce the risk of fraud.
