At the IDEX-2025 international arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi, the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) presented a new version of the Forpost unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a radar for monitoring enemy objects and providing target designation for military units.
Ekaterina Zgirovskaya, an official representative of the enterprise, noted that the Forpost continues to undergo modernization.
The UAV's tasks include radar monitoring of surface and ground objects, recognizing moving targets, and providing target designation for units of the Russian Armed Forces, including the Navy.
In its strike version, the Forpost is capable of carrying guided missiles or glide bombs, allowing it to strike both stationary and moving targets, including armored vehicles.
Main tactical and technical characteristics of the Forpost UAV:
- Fuselage length — 5.85 m
- Fuselage diameter — 1.4 m
- Wingspan — 8.55 m
- Application range when using a directional antenna — 250 km, when using an omnidirectional antenna — 150 km
- Takeoff weight — 454 kg
- Engine — Jabiru 2200 with a power of 45 hp
- Fuel tank capacity — 142 l
- Flight speed: cruising — 111 km/h, maximum — up to 220 km/h
- Service ceiling — 5797 m
