The Supercam SX350 unmanned tiltrotor with a 50% increase in flight time was presented at the IDEX-2025 arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi. This was announced by the official representative of the "Unmanned Systems" group of companies.
SX350 is the younger brother of the famous Supercam S350 reconnaissance UAV - a drone that combines the advantages of a flying wing with the ease of launching a multirotor. Now it is capable of flying 50% longer. In the class of light tiltrotors weighing up to 16 kg, this is the best flight time.
One of the key advantages of the Supercam SX350 is the absence of starting overloads during vertical takeoff. This expands the choice of target payloads and reduces the requirements for their execution.
The tiltrotor is capable of performing many tasks — video monitoring, aerial photography, laser scanning, multispectral imaging, radiation monitoring and gas analysis. It is also possible to install additional geodetic equipment on the drone for aerial photography with geodetic referencing.
The software package with SX350 devices is trained to automatically identify 41 critical defects in photographs of power grid facilities. Previously, a repair team of power engineers could inspect 5-6 km of lines in one working day. Whereas with the help of Supercam SX350, this figure increased 20 times — up to 100 km.
