The Lada Niva Sport in the special Silk Way version, presented to nine-time Race of Champions winner Kirill Ladygin, is a prototype equipped with a 1.8-liter engine capable of producing up to 144 horsepower. This was reported to Avtopotok at the enterprise.

The production version has a 1.6-liter engine from the Granta Sport, which produces 122 horsepower and 151 Nm of torque.
Earlier, AvtoVAZpresented the production version of the Lada Niva Sport. The steering wheel remained the old model, and the gearbox and transmission are controlled in the traditional way - using two levers. Lada Niva Sport will go on salewith a modernized engine and special injectors.
