Russia Develops Newest Nine-Module Electronic Warfare System "Yel-1" with Total Jamming Power up to 1kW

Will Suppress Control Channels of Kamikaze Drones within a Radius of 500 m

Specialists from the design bureau of instrument engineering No. 71 have designed a promising nine-module multi-band electronic warfare (EW) complex. The system is called "Yel-1".

The new product operates in the frequency range from 0.1 to 1 GHz and covers most control channels of FPV drones, free-drop copters, as well as quadcopters and hexacopters.

The total power of the jamming generators is 1 kW, which makes it possible to suppress drone control channels within a radius of up to 350-500 m. Modeling of the amplitude-frequency modes of each of the nine generators with antenna modules is carried out in accordance with the elevation and azimuth parameters of the video image channel of enemy drones detected by the source.

The weight of the antenna post with generators and amplifiers in hardware units is 7 kg. Hardware units can be equipped with both vertical antennas for high jamming signal density and "clover" antennas to cover the widest possible spectrum.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the modernized Yak-130M aircraft with AESA radar may be sold to Asia and Africa.
