The Russian B05Ya01 "Berezhok" combat module, which can be used to modernize infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), will be in demand in the Middle East. This opinion was expressed by Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Armaments, Ammunition and Special Chemistry Cluster of the Rostec State Corporation.
According to him, "Berezhok", which is already being installed on domestic BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles, has already confirmed its effectiveness on the line of combat contact.
We expect that the module will be in demand among foreign operators - in the Middle East, many countries have IFVs in their fleet of ground vehicles.
The Berezhok complex carries four Kornet anti-tank missiles, a 30-millimeter automatic cannon, an automatic grenade launcher, and a PKT machine gun. The module also received a modern fire control system with a panoramic sight for the commander and a sight for the gunner with a thermal imager and a laser rangefinder.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rosoboronexport presented the improved BMP-3, taking into account the requirements of modern combat.
