Specialists from Samara State Medical University (SamSMU) have created fully domestic VR simulators. The devices will help in the training of future doctors.
The line includes 13 simulators, including 4 new ones: "Registration and interpretation of an electrocardiogram", "Emergency medical care for a child 1-8 years old", "Emergency medical care" and "Assessment of auditory function".
VR simulators will allow medical professionals to practice important skills: diagnosis and provision of emergency care for various conditions, such as anaphylactic shock or asthma attacks. Thanks to the simulators, doctors effectively practice skills in a virtual environment.
Experts from SamSMU participated in the project. The simulators were tested at the university's clinical departments. The creators are confident that the use of simulators will significantly improve the training of medical specialists in Russia.
