Fraudsters have come up with a new way to deceive people for Valentine's Day. They send the victim a bouquet allegedly from a secret admirer and gain access to her personal data. The scheme is simple: the attackers ask for a code from an SMS to confirm delivery, but in fact they gain access to the person's personal information. Thieves steal money from the victim's accounts and take out loans.
Using this SMS code, fraudsters gain access to the victim's personal data, which gives them the opportunity to take out a loan in her name.
Fraudsters also create fake websites for delivering flowers and gifts. They lure customers with "discounts" and "exclusive bouquets", and disappear after payment.
Earlier www1.ru reported that before February 14, fraudsters often deceive lonely men. They create fake profiles of girls in dating apps, using photos taken with neural networks.
