The latest Tornado-S multiple launch rocket system with sniper properties has entered service with the Russian military. The complex has become the next stage in the development of the Smerch multiple launch rocket system, the Ministry of Defense said.
The Tornado-S differs from its predecessor in its increased firing range - more than 100 km, and a larger area of destruction - 12 football fields.
The missiles are guided by a satellite system, and a reconnaissance drone coordinates them in the final section of the flight. The firing parameters are calculated automatically, so the installation is aimed in a few minutes.
