Autonomous launchers of the mobile ground-based intercontinental missile system (PGRK) "Yars" have entered combat patrol routes in the Yoshkar-Ola missile formation. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Yars PGRK crews marched 100 km, dispersed in field positions, organized camouflage and set up combat security.
The planned activities allow testing the readiness of personnel, as well as weapons and military equipment for long-term duty on combat patrol routes.
PC-24 "Yars" is a Russian strategic missile system with a solid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile of mobile and silo-based with a multiple independently targetable warhead. Developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology under the leadership of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Solomonov. It is a modification of the Topol-M missile system.
The new 15Zh65M missiles are equipped with six individually guided warheads with astrocorrection and individual guidance. They are equipped with electronic warfare systems, dipole reflectors and infrared traps.
