In 2025, KnAAZ (Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu. A. Gagarin) will deliver a new version of the advanced Su-57 fighter to the Russian army, according to the company's director, Yuri Kondratyev.
According to him, the company will increase the production of Russia's only fifth-generation multirole fighter, the Su-57.
From 2025, we will begin to transfer a new version of the Su-57 to the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The director expressed confidence that the company will cope with the increase in production volumes "thanks to the people who are the main thing in aviation."
The prototype of the Su-57 aircraft made its first flight in 2010. The Russian army received the first production model in 2020.
Military Watch Magazine noted that the Su-57 surpasses all other fifth-generation combat aircraft in terms of "combat proven". Western journalists emphasized that the fighter successfully resists air targets, suppresses air defense systems, and delivers high-precision strikes in conditions of strong opposition.
