Производство двигателей РД-191 для ракет-носителей семейства «Ангара» наладят в Перми

На производственной площадке уже установили 630 единиц оборудования

A new production site of the Proton-PM company (part of Roscosmos) has opened in Perm. It will produce RD-191 rocket engines for Angara launch vehicles here.

The building with an area of more than 44 thousand square meters houses four workshops: electroplating, mechanical, mechanical assembly and assembly. 630 units of technological equipment have been installed on the site.

"Протон-ПМ" is one of the largest enterprises in the country, producing engines for the first stages of space rockets, including the Angara-A5.

Characteristics of the RD-191 rocket engine:

  • Thrust at sea level - 196 tf
  • Thrust in vacuum - 212.6 tf;
  • Specific impulse at sea level - 311.5 s
  • Specific impulse in vacuum - 337.4 s
  • Thrust throttling range: 27-105 %
  • Fuel components: liquid oxygen and kerosene
  • Dry weight - about 2.2 t
