KnAAZ (Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu. A. Gagarin) plans to assemble two prototypes of the Su-75 Checkmate light tactical aircraft in 2025 for static and flight tests. This was announced by the director of the enterprise, Yuri Kondratyev.
According to him, if the production of aircraft is expanded, the number of sites for their assembly will increase.
As soon as a prototype of the Su-75 appears with the prospect of mass production, we will, of course, initiate the construction of additional areas for the mass assembly of these fighters.
Kondratyev emphasized that the main product of the plant remains the Su-35S fighter, since pilots recognize it as objectively the best. This year, the Su-35S will be modernized.
The maximum combat load of the Su-75 is 7400 kg, the flight range without external fuel tanks is 2900 km at a speed of up to Mach 1.8, which is one of the best indicators in its class.
Earlier www1.ru reported that protective hangars for military aircraft were spotted on the Russian Aerospace Forces airbase online.
