The global space industry is preparing for an unprecedented event - five rocket launches in one day. They will take place on February 4 this year.
The first launch will be carried out by SpaceX from the cosmodrome at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The Falcon 9 launch vehicle will put a new batch of Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, expanding the global Internet coverage network.
Next in line is the suborbital flight of the New Shepard rocket from Blue Origin, with the NS-29 mission scheduled to launch at 11:00 EST. The rocket will deliver 30 scientific payloads to the border with space, which will experience approximately two minutes of lunar gravity due to the rotation of the capsule.
The third launch of the day will be carried out by the New Zealand company Rocket Lab from its launch complex on Mahia Island. The Electron rocket, as part of the IoT 4 You and Me mission, will put five satellites into orbit for the French company Kineis. The launch is scheduled for 3:43 pm EST.
In the evening of the same day, SpaceX will conduct its second launch of the Falcon 9 rocket with two WorldView Legion satellites for Maxar Technologies. These devices will complete the formation of a group of six satellites designed to monitor rapidly changing areas of the Earth. The launch is scheduled for 6:07 pm EST.
The Russian launch from the Plesetsk cosmodrome will be the final note of the space symphony on February 4. The Soyuz-2.1v launch vehicle with the Volga upper stage will put a classified satellite into orbit. The launch is scheduled for 10:00 pm EST.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that Roscosmosplans dozens of launches by 2031.
