In 2024, two new vessels were purchased for river transport, which can accommodate up to 240 passengers. These ships are adapted for people with disabilities, including those with limited mobility. In the near future, they will begin operating between Samara and Rozhdestveno, as well as between Samara and Shiryaevo.

The plans include replenishing the region's passenger fleet with four more such vessels in the coming years.

MPKS is a modern vessel with a closed two-tiered superstructure. The wheelhouse is located in the bow, and the engine room is in the stern. It is designed for operation on local and suburban routes on inland waterways and in coastal areas.

The main parameters of the ship: length — 31.95 m, width — 8.14 m, board height — 2.75 m, draft — about 1.4 m. The vessel can carry up to 240 passengers and 6 crew members, including the captain, mechanic, and assistant.

Earlier, the first cruise vessel of the "MPKS" project "Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin" was sent to Samara. The vessel, created by specialists from "R-Flot", is ideal for servicing local and suburban lines of inland waterways.
