The 2GIS ge сервисе has added a function for direct payment for public transport. For now, the service is only available to residents of Kostroma, but it already covers all city routes.
To pay for the ride, users can open the "Travel" menu in the app and click the "Pay for ride" button. The system automatically determines suitable routes using geolocation and displays current fares. Manual adjustment is also available — just enter the vehicle's license plate number indicated in the cabin.
After payment, the app generates an electronic ticket that can be presented to the controller.
Earlier www1.ru reported that fare payment by geolocation will be available in more than 10 cities in Russia.
