The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has initiated an investigation against MTS. The regulator suspects the company of violating advertising laws.
The FAS found incorrect comparisons in the home internet advertisement that the company placed in Yandex in October-November 2024. It was claimed that "MTS is the best home internet in Moscow" with high speed.
The FAS emphasized that when placing the advertisement, objective criteria for such a comparison were not specified – consumers could be misled, and the company could gain unjustified advantages over competitors. If MTS's guilt is proven, the operator faces a fine.
