State Duma Vice-Speaker Vladislav Davankov has proposed that marketplaces introduce a function that allows users to set a self-ban on impulsive purchases or determine a monthly limit on the amount of money they allocate to shopping. The deputy addressed this initiative to the head of the Ministry of Economy, Maxim Reshetnikov.
I believe it is necessary to legally oblige marketplaces to introduce a function that allows users to set a self-ban on purchases or set a monthly monetary limit. The user will be able to independently configure the restriction parameters, including the limit amount, product category and validity period of the ban.
The deputy proposed to amend the draft federal law "On the Platform Economy". Davankov called on the Minister of Economic Development to determine whether this initiative should be launched, and, if a positive decision is made, to instruct the relevant departments to amend the law of Russia.
It is known that one of the factors driving inflation is active consumer demand. According to the latest data, Russia is experiencing an increase in the inflation rate, which has exceeded 10%. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, price growth slowed down over the past week and amounted to 0.25%. However, due to the base effect, inflation in annual terms overcame a new psychological mark. 10% is 2.5 times higher than the target set by the Central Bank. The main factor in price growth over the past week was household appliances and cars of Russian production, which rose in price by 2%. Despite the strengthening of the national currency, inflation is accelerating.
Earlier it became known that marketplaces will be able to to verify the age of buyers through the "Gosuslugi" portal. This proposal was put forward by Senator Artem Sheikin in order to protect children and adolescents from accessing intimate goods. Roskomnadzor is ready to consider legislative initiatives on this issue.
