Engineering units of the Russian army have begun to receive promising universal armored engineering vehicles (UBIIM), developed on the basis of T-90M "Proryv-3" main battle tanks from Uralvagonzavod.
UBIIMs are designed to ensure the advancement of troops and the performance of engineering work under enemy fire. In terms of its capabilities, the system can replace a whole range of equipment, including obstacle clearing vehicles, tracklayers, evacuation and demining vehicles.
UBIIM is equipped with a bulldozer blade, a crane boom with a maximum lifting capacity of 7,500 kg, an excavator bucket or a hydraulic hammer.
