The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) and the 558th Aviation Repair Plant of Belarus have begun joint development of the Osvey regional aircraft. The first prototype will be built at the production facilities of both enterprises in 2026, according to Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of the Belarusian State Military-Industrial Committee.
According to him, the project has already been officially launched at the state level and will lay the foundations for aircraft construction in the republic. UZGA has been designated as the lead developer, with the Belarusian plant acting as a co-executor.
In 2026, we plan to have a prototype. For the first time, we will create a school in Belarus that works in this field, which has not existed before.
