AvtoVAZ resumes assembly of Lada Vesta SW with a CVT

Cars are back on the assembly line

AvtoVAZ has resumed production of the Vesta SW station wagon, but so far only with a CVT. The plant has started producing cars with a two-pedal transmission and a 1.6-liter engine.

In mid-December, AvtoVAZ temporarily suspended production of all its flagship station wagons due to a decrease in market demand. After that, a two-week New Year's holiday began. As a result, cars were not produced for a month.

Currently, the production of two modifications of the Lada Vesta SW has resumed: station wagons with a 1.6-liter 106-horsepower engine and a CVT in the Comfort'24 and Life'24 trim levels. Prices for these models are 1.705 and 1.806 million rubles, respectively.

At the end of January, new modifications will appear in the Lada Vesta line, equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox developed in China. The flagship model with a new gearbox is expected to be presented on January 27. It will work in tandem with a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter engine.

Earlier, AvtoVAZ announced the launch of a service program, under which all Lada dealerships will install backlighting for the button to disable the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) on Lada Vesta NG cars. The instruction has already been sent to all dealerships.
