AI-Powered Forest Fire Prevention System Developed in Ufa

Fires are planned to be detected based on remote sensing data

A system for preventing forest fires has been created at the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (UGNTU). It recognizes deadwood trees using artificial intelligence algorithms.

The system operates with an accuracy of over 90% and was created in collaboration with the company "Predictor." The development reduces the time and resources required to survey forest areas. Forests are planned to be surveyed using satellite data and information obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles.

Earlier www1.ru reported that firefighters in Bashkiria will enlist artificial intelligence as an assistant.
